Broken and Blessed

  • Isa 30:14  And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
We must be like the vessel in the potters’ hand, we must be willing to be broken and then fashioned in a way that is pleasing to the potter.

My prayer, break me Lord until I am in your hands what you would have me to be and bless me.

Tender is better than tempered

Read your Bible daily, and you'll find how tender the word of God can be to an old miserable (hard hearted heart).

Once you do, you'll never be the same, if you let him, he'll change your life for the good.

The thrill of your heart

Nothing can thrill the Heart like living for Jesus!

It's a joy serving God, he is keeping us and in all of our ways, we need to acknowledge him.

Praise to his Name!

  • Psa 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

Will you PRAISE him today! Will you give him the Glory that he deserves.
His Name is JESUS, the sweetest name I know.

In His Care!

  • Psa 30:5  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

What a thought to be under the favor of the LORD.  It’s his strength to guide us when we are weak, his light to illuminate our path, and his love to shelter us in his care.

What shall we fear? He cares for his own!

Trials are the making of one Victorious.

  • Jam 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Many times the pressures that we go through, tend to mold us into what God would have us to be.
Our trials can also cause us to be victorious.

What about today?

  • 2Co 6:2  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

How long will you wait to make all things right in your life? What about today?

Procrastination is the enemy of your soul; you're always going to do it tomorrow! and it NEVER gets done.
Don't allow that attitude to grip you, let God do today what he wants to do in your life.

There is NO time like the PRESENT! That’s why it's called present, it's a gift.

Blessed & Kept!

  • Num 6:24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
We have a promise of what he will do, our job is to TRUST him!

Give, and it shall be given!

  • Luk 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Think about the Scripture above:

  • YOU ONLY GET TO KEEP WHAT YOU GIVE AWAY!

Try it, and see if it won’t come back to you, over and over again!

Sometimes, you just have to Stand Still!

  • Exo 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day:

Sometimes in our situations, we’ve tried to do everything ourselves and NOTHING seem to work, perhaps it’s then, we need Stand Still and let God MOVE!

Share some kindness and it always comes back.

  • Eph 4:32  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

How about finding someone and do something nice for them today; it doesn’t have to be anything so outlandish, just something thoughtful.

Did I hear! …What if you find more than one?!   “Go for it!” wouldn’t you like to have more blessings poured out on you?

What more could we want?

We live in a world where we have what is termed as information overload. More books, how to books, and so much information, it’s would be impossible to understand it all.

In most cases, it wouldn’t even benefit us to know all there is to know about some subjects; we just need to know, “What we need to know”.

How many of us have needs in our lives? Knowing that the only way to get the job done, is to have God himself to intervene on our behalf, but yet, so many times we wonder, we worry,  how will this get done, and how will God do this or that?  Well friend! May I say to you today, bring your needs to God and leave it there before him, let him work it all out however he decides to do it!

…and guess what?    “That’s all you need to know!”

Help when you need it!

  • Pro 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

As Children of God we must be Strong in the Lord!

Yes, we have difficulties but if you've been in this any length of time, you have come to know that God helps us in all of our situations. He is able to help us if we'll just call on him!

...sometimes you just need to keep what you got!

  • Pro 1:19  So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain;

“A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,” also sometimes given as, “A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush,” is a proverb saying that it is better to stick with something you already have, rather than pursuing something you may never get. This proverb is a very popular warning, widely used in many English-speaking countries.

The phrase seems to have originated at some point in the 13th century, in a related Latin form: Plus valet in manibus avis unica quam dupla silvis. This can be loosely translated as, “A bird in the hand is worth more than two in the woods.”

The basic warning of “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,” is that you must take care not to get too greedy in life. If you are holding a bird in the hand, you have your meal for the evening. You can take that one bird, and be well fed. If instead you let it go to pursue two birds you’ve spied in a bush, you may catch neither, and wind up hungry for the night. This proverb points out that by passing up a sure thing for a more promising possibility, you also run the risk of losing both the sure thing and the promising possibility.

Just a good ole thought...

"Then to the Dogs"

The Turks, having tortured and slain the parents of a little Armenian girl before her eyes, turned to the child and said: "will you renounce your faith in Jesus, and live?" She replied, "I will not."

"Then to the dogs!" She was thrown into a kennel of savage and famished dogs and left there. The next morning, they came and looked in, to see the little girl on her knees praying, and beside her the largest and the most savage of all the dogs, snapping at every dog that ventured near, thus protecting the child.

You see, God has a way of protecting and caring for his own, God knows where you are today in whatever situation you are dealing with, pray and cry out to him in your time of trouble and see if he won't be to you, what you need him to be.

Friend

  • Pro   A friend loveth at all times;

Do you have a friend to pray with you?
To help get that prayer, you prayed through
One that would stand, close by your side
When the enemy comes, he won’t run and hide

A friend that knows you, yes when you’re down
But still don’t mind, coming around
He’ll call out your name to God, when you’re not around
Yes, this is a true friend, which you have found

He knows some of your weaknesses and your low times
But he never forgets and you’re on his mind
He’s been your friend, through the thick and thin
You can count on him, time and time again

He knows how you’ll respond and about what you’ll do
But can this ole friend, count on you?

A few more steps, will make a difference!

  • Exo   And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

Whatever you may be facing today, if you stay where you are, you only have the same thing to deal with, but if you make up in your mind and heart to “go forward” you get to choose your destiny.

Let’s Go Forward!

Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

What good is a half truth? None at all!

Some people think because they have a little truth from their preacher they will be alright on judgment day. Because these people don't steal from anyone, or they haven't killed anyone, they think they are okay with God.  That thought is so devilish and deceiving and is causing people to lose out with God and they don't even realize it. But they just go their merry way and will be eternally LOST!

I was speaking with a de-nominal preacher here a few days ago, he has a fairly large congregation and while he was a very sweet man and we were having a biblical conversation, I could tell that he was misleading his entire congregation down a slippery slope to hell.

What was it that I noticed? He had just enough truth to make the lies he was telling believable, that's where the extreme danger was. The sad part of this is that his people take his word for it and they don't study it for themselves.

Someone says how do you know? Because anyone that would believe what he was telling me and keep this fellow in their pulpit don't have a clue as to what the WORD of God says concerning the TRUTH!

Remember, the Bible does not say "The truth will set you free!"

    • John And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Here before you even know it!

The Tsunami that hit Japan this week and the wake of disaster that followed, all without much warning.

Isn’t it amazing that we live in such a technological age and yet it’s almost impossible for people to even get a simple phone call through to check on loved ones?

Simple? Only to those that take these things for granted, how many of these simple things that we enjoy in life, do we take for granted?

Keep in mind, this destruction that came, appeared so quickly, without much notice or forewarning, when I think of this, I think about how Jesus will appear to gather his bride when he comes again, and he will come again! In an hour when you think not!

I am looking for him and I am loving his appearing, Come LORD Jesus!
