The old paths are still good for us today.

Jer 6:16

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is
the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

While we all enjoy the new things of today, the latest of technology, labor saving devices, instant messaging, emails around the world in just moments and the list goes on and on.

We must ask ourselves the question, have these things helped us when it comes to living for God or do they serve as a distraction?

No! I'm not saying that these things are sin, but they do have a way of pulling at us from every angle, distorting what we need to keep our focus on, someone said it like this, "Keeping the main thing the main thing".

Even the Lord reminds us, to ask for the old paths, where is the good way. I can appreciate technology, but I must say, I sure enjoy the good ole days of less distractions, fewer things to captivate or divert our focus or attention.

While we enjoy these these modern marvels, we must use caution as Christians that they do not serve as traps or things that lure us away from the paths that lead us to righteousness.

God will have a Holy People full of godly intentions and demonstration of his spirit, they will not allow themselves to be consumed by things that lure.

Why is it that the trophy fisherman in some cases wants the lure that has the sheen and shine to it? because he knows it will catch the eye of the big fish and it will take the bait! Wham! the trap has done it's duty the trophy is captured.

Never stray too far from the old paths, because even in the midst of this present world and all that it has to offer, the old paths have served us well.

Praying with you in mind,

Now where did I put that?

Psalms 119: 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Most of us have a habit of placing things in various areas so that we can find them speedily, or in certain places so that we know without having to give much thought where something is, it may be our keys, a book, a note or how about your bible; this way we can lay our hand on it quickly.

Obviously, we can't carry everything around at one time so we put it here and there so that when that item is needed we know where to find it in a hurry.

Think about what David was saying in this verse above, he describes something that he knows is valuable to him and he mentions reading the word of God.

This is so powerful because David is letting us know the importance of scripture, that we are going to want to be able to recall the Word and have it in our hearts and mine so we can get a hold of it immediately.

What David was saying, is when things come to my mind, thoughts, ideas, that we know are NOT supposed to be there, we recall from memory The Word of God and it helps us, it reminds us of the direction that we need to be going. In other words, it keeps us on track so that we don't allow sin or anything that will distract us from being pleasing to God at all times.

Hide the Word in your heart, read it daily, it will strengthen you and guide you and it will be a comfort to you in difficult times.

I love the Word! Don't you?

Even in stillness, God is there.

Have you ever felt like in everything you did nothing was turning out right? my friend, the good news is, you are not alone.

I must say that is a terrible feeling to be in that type of place. Regardless of our present circumstances God has NOT forsaken us, he is still there, notice my emphasis on STILL.

Though sometimes things seem still like nothing is happening at least in our own world, God is in control and he is always working on our behalf.

We must trust him today even in his stillness he has a concern for us and he will always work things for our good and for our benefit.

I am trusting God with you today my friend, and we know that ALL things work together for the good, if we will but trust him with a whole heart.

Praying with you in mind,

Closer than you think or further?

As Thomas Edison put it, “Many of life’s failures are men who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Edison should know. He is on record as having conducted 1257 experiments before producing a commercially viable electric light bulb.

Wouldn't it be terrible to live your life thinking you had it all right in your own mind, and then to find out at the end, when you stand before God and hear him say, Depart from me ye worker of iniquity "I NEVER KNEW YOU!".

Don't just play around the edge, get in the midst of what God is desiring for your life and be faithful to that. It's not what a person thinks about this or that, when it comes to spiritual matters, it's what thus saith the Word of God says! Don't allow yourself to be so close but yet so far.

Ask yourself this question, how close am I to eternity? you will spend it somewhere, regardless.

There is none like God.

Yesterday, while sitting in the office of a friend , we were discussing a variety of subjects. There was nothing that he or I talked about that either of us disagreed on in any of our conversation, though I soon realized that we both had one very major thing in common, and that was the fact that we both knew without question that God is sovereign.
God does what he does so wonderfully; and is capable of doing so, simply because, there is no one like him to do any better. Neither has there been before nor will there be after.
We sing a song at church " There is none like you "
There is none like You,
No one else can touch my heart like You do,
I can search for all eternity Lord
And find, there is none like You.
Many would like to think they could get the job done all by themselves, but when it's all said and accounted for it's then that we can look to heaven and say ...there is none like you!
Live for God and serve him knowing this, you could search this whole world over and you would never find the magnificent splendor and power of God.
He is as the scripture teaches; altogether lovely, what a thought!
Enthusiastically yours,

One of David's many Prayers.

It is such a blessing for us to pray and petition God to watch over us and give us those things that he knows that we need. There is such power in prayer.

Listen to the cry of David's heart as you read, he knew the awesomeness of God; and he tells God to come close in order to hear his prayer, Wow! you begin to understand how much David wanted God to pay attention to him.

Be Bless Today My Friends,

Evangelist: Frank Mc Gee ~

Psa 86:1 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

Psa 86:2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

Psa 86:3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Psa 86:4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Psa 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Psa 86:6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

Psa 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Psa 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

Psa 86:9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

Psa 86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Psa 86:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

Psa 86:12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

Psa 86:13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Psa 86:14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

Psa 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

Psa 86:16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

Psa 86:17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

What is this thing about faith?

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Can we believe for that which we can not see?

This is the conflict between the intangible and the tangible.

Believing for what we can't even see!

It just don't make sense to us, BUT, by faith we see it clearly, when we are able to do this, it pleases God, because it is then that he knows we have finally grasped the reality within our hearts and our minds that IF he does not produce it (whatever it is!) it will never be, and that does take some faith.
So let's trust him for the things that we have need of when we know without question, they are not coming by some other means, and we begin to pray it in and trust and believe by FAITH that it shall be so.
Have you been exercising your faith lately? Now would be a good time to start.
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

We are praying and trusting God with you today.

Who needs a preacher?

When does a person need a preacher? Well for starters, when you’re a baby and your parents want to dedicate you back to God, then, you need a preacher!

How about through your childhood, because all kids need direction, then, you need a preacher.

What about when you’re trying to make some real important decisions? then, you need a preacher.

How about the time when you are sick and you want to get well, then, you need a preacher.

Then there is when you want to get married, then, you need a preacher.

What about when you come down to die? then, you need a preacher.

What about if you want to be saved? Then you need not only a preacher, but a Pastor.

Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

What a blessing it is to have a Pastor! One that watches for your soul, one that gives you instruction form the Word of God.

Oh yes! If you want to be saved, you’ll have to have a preacher, I call him my Pastor.

Blessings to you,

Be sure to let your Pastor know how much you appreciate him!

What's in a touch?

We all know folks that are having difficulty in their health. Did you know that there is something so powerful and wonderful about visiting the sick? more than just the visit itself, there is many times an inward "Rising UP" if you will, to that very person when you visit them and begin to encourage them.
There is that sense of them feeling like it's important for them to get better, Oh! it can't be explained easily, but I'm sure that you've noticed how people react when you visit them during their sick times.
I've watched folks just perk right up as individuals would walk in a room where they were, many times just their company is so uplifting to them.
Now, if you want to take that a step further, get that person by the hand or perhaps just by touching their forehead or maybe a shoulder and begin to pray with them, Oh! there is something in a touch.
That simple little touch, shows compassion and concern for that individual, that's one of the reasons you read in the Word of God, Luk 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. ...then another verse " If I could but touch him " I shall be made whole. See! there's power in a touch!
Even one of the Major Telecommunication Companies understood the very Idea of touching the lives of other's, and they made MILLIONS of dollars off of the slogan " Reach out and touch someone"!
How about the song? Reach out and touch the Lord as he goes by, you'll find he's not too busy to hear your hearts cry, he's passing by this moment...
Let's do our best to touch the lives of someone in some simple way, and you will see that the end result is very positive and will bring blessings to those that are hurting in one way or another.

A walk we must all take.

Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Probably without question one of the most favorite verses to be read during a funeral message is the verse above. It is from this verse that a person is able to draw a tremendous amount of strength and comfort.

DEATH, as much as we don’t like to think about it, will come to all of us at some point, as strange as it may sound; it’s also a part of life.

Just this past week end at our home church I noticed a man that has attended our church for many years, he is a man of about 56 years of age, and he has been living a life in a wheel chair for about the last 10 yrs.

Sunday morning as his van drove up and parked in the handicap parking area he used his hydraulic lift to help him to get out of his van, he got out and then he did something that really caught my attention, he took a little small bristle brush and began to roll forward ever so slowly and he began to brush the dirt off of the wheels on his motorized chair.

The reason he did this was so not to bring any of the dirt that was on the wheels into the church as he rolled himself in. I could not help but think how thoughtful this deed was and how it capture my attention.

He rolled on in as he would do every service, he was a young man that had numerous physical difficulties, yet he always had a smile on his face and was quick to offer his greeting to those he rolled his chair by, a very happy individual I might add, even with his limited mobilities.

Another thing I recall is how he was willing to help any time there was a need. On one occasion when we were dealing with a flood in our gym he was there doing what he could even from his wheelchair to help clean up.

Just yesterday Monday afternoon, this little tiny man as he was, had a seizure and took his last breath just before he took his walk through that valley, no wheelchair this time, no dirt to brush aside, just a walk.

Our frail little friend Randy will be missed by so many and we pray that God will strengthen his family that we know loved him so.

With a sorrowful heart,

Time Management?

It's interesting how you hear folks talk about "TIME MANAGEMENT" and how they have learned to manage their time.
Well! I don't mean to burst their little bubble but "TIME" waits for no one and their is NO way to manage time. How can you stop it or even slow it down?
We can only manage our "ACTIVITIES" and what we do within the time that has been given to us. You see, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, busy or not so busy, regardless of who you are or even your extensive background, we all get 24 hrs. in a day and it's up to us what we do within that allotted time period.
Sad to say, some waste it and as you know once it's gone it's gone forever.
The word of God teaches us in:
  • Eph. 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (In other words use it wisely).

Be sure that you are putting into your daily routine or activities time for God and the study and reading of his Word.

We get so caught up and busy doing all these other things and if we are not cautious we will do all these other things and we miss some of the most important time spent with God in his word and in prayer.

Remember, in the course of managing your daily activities always allow TIME for God, after all he is the one that gave us the 24 hrs. to begin with, don't you think that a portion of it does belong to him?

Have a Blessed Day!

Sunday July 18th. An Egyptian spirit in the land.

Exo 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Everywhere I look today in the church realm, I see a spirit that reminds me of the verse of scripture above. I have talked with folks that are having the worst kind of struggles that they have ever had before, and these are folks that are faithful to God.

Those that are unaware of this type of attack on the Christians, well, they simply are not doing enough for God for the enemy to be interested in them, and he already has them. In many respects, they are NO threat to the enemy, so life for them just goes on as usual and they are blinded to the trap that they are already in.

Try doing something to further the kingdom of God, do more in your church, give more than you have ever given before, start praying more, or for some, just start praying, oops! ask your Pastor if there are duties that you could start to take over and you’ll see how the enemy will begin to fight you, once you really get involved. Don’t be like 90% of church folks and just be a spectator, be a participator!

Now for goodness sakes, don’t just not want to get involved so that you are not a target of the enemy, he’s a loser before he even brings his first attack against the children of God. He’s nothing to fear, in fact, it’s as though God has him on a leash, he can only do what we let him do, listen to what the Word says to us in: Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

There is an Egyptian spirit in the land today, but I am persuaded that God is helping us to fight our battles and as was told to Moses, these Egyptians whom ye have seen today ye shall see them again no more forever. I believe that we can get to this place as we dedicate ourselves to God and for his purpose. I refuse to allow the enemy of my soul to manipulate me without a fight. I WILL NOT RELENT! I will be strong and do exploits. I will be used mightily in the Kingdom of God. What are you willing to do in order to see your home, church & family blessed like never before?

Are you willing to wage war against the enemy and do spiritual battle like never before? Are you willing to pray for your Pastor while he is in the pulpit teaching and preaching the Word of God? Are you one of those folks that play with babies and gets up and goes back and forth to rest room during service? If you have to get up and keep going to the rest room why don’t you go up for prayer and let God heal you of that condition! Oh! The part I mentioned about the babies, it has always amazed me how it only take one to give it birth, but it takes 3 or 4 to baby sit it! Ouch!! Truth!!

I am looking forward to God doing great and mighty things in our midst, I am excited about the Power of the Holy Ghost, being called by his name and filled with his spirit.

What more do we need? We just need to get more involved, and then watch as God begins to bless in a marvelous way! Oh! Yes, you’ll have battles, you just stand your ground and you’ll win every one of them. Did I say every one? Yes! That’s what I thought I said, every one of them!!

God Bless You as you Fight the GOOD Fight of Faith! Hey Folks, We are Winner’s!!

Praying with you in mind,

Evangelist: Frank Mc Gee ~

Oh! What a city.

In many of my travels it has always amazed me of the construction that I see from one city to the other.
New buildings going up and many of them reaching way into the sky, some as much as 80 to 100 stories or perhaps even more, and yes, many of them even smaller.
The part that also amazes me, is how they build these towering building right in the midst of all of the others, all just woven together, and when I look at them I begin to think, these folks are building like we'll never leave this place, as though we'll be he here for ever.
Today, I am thinking of another city, one that Abraham talked about in the book of Hebrews.

Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

There's the place I am looking for, a place that will last throughout eternity, I won't even try to describe it, because I don't have the words, I just want to go! A city not made by the hands of man, but by God himself.
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
I am excited about another place that will never fade away by the elements of this life.
Just think about that, Won't it be wonderful there!
Blessings to you,

Out of this World!

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

I hope that you get as much comfort from this verse in The Book of Revelation as I do. I long for this time, and then the song comes to mind "Won't it be Wonderful There" ...having NO burdens to bare.

I deal with folks everyday that are hurting and I am so thankful that I have a message of hope for those that will endure until the end. God has a plan for you my friend, if you will live according to his word and not yours, and this plan is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

He will take you Through the Fire Again!

Strength to accomplish the task.

Sometimes we find it hard to be content in our present situation, after all who wants to deal with uncomfortable things going on in their lives? I know that many times when difficulties come our way we don’t want it staying around long, again, who would?

I must admit, I enjoy a non-confrontational kind of life, you know, where I don’t bother anyone and I sure don’t want anyone bothering me. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that, in fact, I strive for a very peaceable life. I mind my own business, I don’t involve myself in other people’s affairs, unless of course I can be of some help with some good sound advice, and I always lean towards good biblical advice in these cases, but only get involved when I am asked to do so.

In all of this, we know that we are not going to escape life without some unpleasant situations going on around us, but I do find it interesting that the word of God gives us some pretty specific wisdom from a man that I believe knew exactly what he was talking about when he made this following statement found in the Holy Word of God.

Phi 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Phi 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

You see, the GOOD NEWS in all of this, is that God will give us the strength that we will need IF we just follow him. These words above are very strong and full of strength and power for you and I today in the many things that we have to deal with even though many of these thing we did NOT sign up for.

When you boil it all down, there is really nothing we can do except learn from God and his word and from the things that he allows to happen around us and we can really get some good lessons from these things.

Let’s strive to deal with everything that comes our way in a positive light, in fact, try this, God! just what is it that I am supposed to learn from this lesson?

I believe once we start getting to that place within our Spirit we can be victorious in all things of life. Many of these things may never stop happening to us or around us but we will know how to deal with them and to God be the Glory.

Praying with you in mind,

Evangelist: Frank Mc Gee ~

Universal Signs they're everywhere.

We live in a world of many types of signs; most of these signs are universal, many of them being used around the world. There are street & road signs that direct traffic and then there are signs that point us to rest areas, restaurants, phones and the list goes on.

Then there are the signs that we use with our hands, such as extending the hand to shake the hand of another, or there is the hand up by the ear which sends the message that you are not hearing someone very well.

There is another one where you tap your head as though you are indicating that someone is “NUTS”. No Offense!

If you were sitting in a restaurant and you saw somebody with there hand on their throat you would immediately know that was the universal sign for one that is choking.

The sign that I want to tell us about today is another very popular universal sign used around the world, but I want you to see it in a different light. When the police are chasing the bad guy and they catch up with him or her and they have their guns out the individual will put up BOTH hands which is a universal sign and we all know it as “ I SURRENDER”.

Have you ever felt like your life was just going in a direction that you just were not quite sure which way you were headed in terms of your spiritual direction, well guess what? It may be time that you use the universal sign towards God and throw up BOTH your hands and just say “God! I SURRENDER!” I’ve had to do that very thing and just fall at the feet of JESUS and like the old song says “I surrender all, ALL to thee, I surrender, I surrender ALL.

The load many times that we carry takes both hands, but when we surrender and put our hands in the air towards God letting him know that we can no longer carry the load it is then the burden is lifted. Try it my friend and let God refresh you and lighten your load. Use the UNIVERSAL SIGN for coming to Jesus, I simply surrender.

Blessings to you today!

Good words of wisdom.

If you have been living for God for any time at all and have been reading the word of God, you’ll find that he gives us some very good words of wisdom, found in:

Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

The enemy of our soul looks for the opportunity to come against us with his many devices, but God instructs us through his word, to not even give him any place whatsoever.

The enemy is an opportunist and he looks for those that are vulnerable.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

We would do ourselves very well if we would somehow get a hold of what God is telling us. Notice also the latter part of the verse above, he uses the word may meaning, one must give him permission in order for them to be devoured by him. I choose to be on the winning side regardless of what the enemy throws my way.

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Here is one more scripture to give you strength in your time of need.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

I thank God for his words of wisdom, don’t you? Let’s put them to use!

...and he showed up Again! Imagine that!

We invited him to come into our midst again this evening, and guess what? he did!
Oh! words can not describe what we had again tonight! But I'll try! God met with us in a marvelous way!
No preaching again this evening, God had a different plan. You know God does that from time to time, if we just get out of the way and let him have HIS way!
The house was packed and jammed, the Alter was FULL of our young people, they were rejoicing, God was re-filling folks with the Holy Ghost and people were being touched all over the sanctuary, young as well as the elder. In the front, in the back, in the floor, in the pew, God was ministering to everyone that wanted something from him.
Today will go down in the books of Glory as a day when God met with his people who were hungry.
We have such an exciting church, our young people are some of the BEST Ever. We have folks that are really in love with God and want a move in their lives, and God blesses them accordingly.
It always amazes me, as an Evangelist, regardless of where I go, you can have folks that are worshiping God in the middle of the service and then there are others that are just looking around wondering, when is it going to happen for them. You make it happen for yourself by getting in the service.
Oh! trust me, we have plenty of Good Preaching around our home church, it is the preaching that we have heard that causes folks to respond the way they did in the services we had today.
Yes, there are lots of folks in our church that are going through difficult times, families that are being faced with sickness, family difficulties, financial problems just to name a few, but we know that God is on our side and he is bringing us through in a glorious way.
I pray that your day was as good as ours and if not maybe you should visit us sometime.
Blessings to you is my prayer,
Praying with you in mind.
Evangelist: Frank Mc Gee ~

...then God shows up

What a Beautiful Morning Service we just had today.

We sang several praise & worship songs, we even had a special song by one of the ladies in the church, who did an outstanding job by the way; singing about the Blood of Jesus and the Power of the cross.

Preaching was just getting ready to take place and then the Spirit of God moved in a totally different direction. I just love it when it happens this way.

Folks started coming up around the altar and getting prayed for concerning various needs in their lives and God just poured out his Spirit in such a marvelous way, to God be the Glory.

I am so excited! I just can't wait to see what happens tonight.

Blessings upon you, In Jesus Name!

How much should I give?

When it comes to our giving, we all ask ourselves the question, how much should I give?

Well! there are lots of answers to this question, and of course it depends on what you are giving to.
We live in a world that demands many things from us on a daily basis, our time, money, ability etc. We have learned from the Word of God that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive.
We should have also learned that the measure used in giving is many times the measure used in receiving.
I have lived by and taught a principle for many years when it comes to giving, be sure to spend some time thinking about what I am going to say because it has proven to be a key factor in the blessings that God pours out to those that will be obedient when it come to giving of our increase; WE ONLY GET TO KEEP WHAT WE GIVE AWAY!
You see, though we don't like to think about it and find it hard to admit, this old flesh of ours wants to know, if I give, what do I get in return. That of course is the wrong attitude.
We've all heard it said, you can't out give God! Giving needs to be an exercise that you do on a daily basis in order to get the most benefit.
Whether it's in your money, or your time that you spend, or the kindness that you show to others, be sure to give liberally and watch as it comes back to you many times over.
May God Richly Bless You!

2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

...and as I have always said; But he will take money from a grouch! ;-)

It's my turn to get even! ...is it?

How many times has someone hurt your feelings or did something against you and you determined in your heart that you were going to GET EVEN? Kinda like, I’ll show them!!

CHECK!! You have just allowed the enemy of your soul to use the tool of unforgiveness against you and this will disable your ability to receive the blessings of God that you so desperately need.

UNFORGIVENESS is like a cancer, it will eat at you spiritually, mentally, and even physically.

Most of all, it is the very act of sin itself, what did Jesus say?

Luk 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Are we better than Jesus? He forgives, but we don't! Unforgiveness is such a tool of the enemy, he loves it when we get to the place that we begin to think of ways that we can get back at those who have hurt us, friend, we must put that stuff under the BLOOD of JESUS!! That's where it belongs. When you and I do this, Oh! What a joy to your soul it is.

Mar 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mar 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

We have all been done wrong at one time or another, but can we really say that we have not done the same to others? I won't take the time to give analogy after analogy but I know you get the message, or at least I hope that you don't allow yourself to be so stubborn that you neglect these words of instruction.

Pro 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

I pray that God will help you with the things that you are dealing with; I know they are not easy; I speak from experience, oh! what a teacher it is.

Praying with you in mind.

Having a reverence toward God brings understanding.

There is something so powerful concerning the reverence that one would have toward God, it's something that has benefit attached to it, but only if we will allow it in our lives.

First I want to leave a scripture to validate what I am saying here, then a statement that also has wisdom in it. Enjoy but apply! fm.

Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

"The remarkable thing about fearing God is that when you fear God you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God you fear everything else."

Faith that moves you!

We always hear folks complaining about the Apostle Peter, the lack of faith that he had, and how he demonstrated such fear, but do you know what THE most interesting thing about it all is?

He did get out of the boat!

What type of FAITH are you demonstrating today?

Are YOU out of the Boat?

Praying with you in mind!

Any of us can be called upon at anytime without notice.

Police, Fire Departments, Emergency units are called many times just on the spur of the moment. I have lived my life for the past 3 decades of always making sure that my fuel tanks in all of my vehicles are topped off.

We never know when we could have a sudden emergency and not have time to stop at a service station for gas, there are those times that we must simply be READY!

I want to live my life for God the very same way, being full to capacity and ready to serve should I be called on.

Don't let the enemy try to cause you to be slothful, if you give him an inch, he will soon become your RULER.

Keep your heart tuned to God and will always lead you and guide you.

Praying with you in mind!

Algorithms for Life

From my good friend Bro. Gurley

Algorithms for Life

By Michael Gurley

For over 30 years I have been involved with technology. From keypunch card days and large mainframes, to modern web teams and powerful personal computers, I have been fortunate to be a part of the changes that have impacted the way we live and the way we do business. Part of my training and experience involved problem solving and analytical thinking exercises. From organizing data and workflow to produce desired results, or from developing application systems to process data, I’ve been involved in trying to critically create steps that will produce specific output. This process can be summed up in a single word that causes those who are math or science challenged to cringe. What is this word? It is: algorithm.

One web definition states that algorithm is “…a set of rules for solving a problem in a finite number of steps…” while another definition states “…any set of detailed instructions which results in a predictable end-state from a known beginning…” Regardless of the definition, algorithms as “rules” or “steps” are created and followed to produce desired results. They will only produce results that are as good as the rules or steps created. As we wrote programs or followed instruction to complete some task, we often used the acronym GIGO: “garbage in… garbage out…” We see this humorously when we take an algorithm into the kitchen and try to prepare and cook a meal from a cookbook (essentially an algorithm of steps or instructions to follow to produce desired or expected results). With incorrectly followed steps we get a different meal result. With incorrect steps to follow we will also get differing results.

Authors abound in the leadership arena to provide steps on how to become successful in some venture. With over 60,000 titles at Amazon, there are algorithmic books that give us 21 steps to be a good leader by one author, or from following the mantra that you must first break all the rules. Many have created techniques to create leadership qualities in those that are already or aspiring to be a leader. In a Father’s Day card this year, my son states that he has me to thank for what he has become – this causes me to look closer at my son as a result and judge whether my algorithms on being a Father where successful. This causes me to look over my shoulder and consider all the algorithms of life that I have followed and determine if they will produce success and prosperity, or, have they been full of garbage.

Scripture gives us an early definition on how to be successful. When Joshua takes the reins of a nation following in the footsteps of Moses, God commands him:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:8-9).

Prosperity and success came from attending to the 600+ instructions found in the book of the law. It was not a simple task easily followed, as there were many algorithms within the law to create a successful and prosperous life. Some tasks were designed to be followed by a select few, or even one, while other laws were followed by everyone.

Jesus provided several additional algorithms for successful living that were built upon the law of the Old Testament:

· Matt 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

· Matt 7:7-8 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

· Luke 13:24 - Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Each of these produces results that are greatly desired, and the steps taken produce a better life. Another time Jesus was being questioned by a lawyer:

· Matt 24:34-40 - But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Noticed His ending comment, “...on these two commandments’ hang all the law and the prophets…” The English Standard Version (ESV) translates this statement as this: “...On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets…” The root of instructions finds a home in the concept of Love. Not the love of this world – which will produce worldly results, but the love of God that gives us opportunity to love others as God has loved us – individually and collectively as His beloved individual and collected group of created beings.

I submit that this is the most important Algorithm of all times – Love God, Love your Neighbor. This produces results that truly create success and prosperity in a person’s life. Regardless of the algorithms that mankind has created to produce desired results, nothing; absolutely nothing will create more success and prosperity in our lives than following the Algorithm for Life.
